Thoughts: Do you remember struggling with Latin declensions or irregular French verbs? How marvelous simply “to begin to speak with other tongues”!
Every one heard the disciples speak in his own language. “…we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.” As the prophet Joel had promised, God poured out his spirit. God’s love must have shone through a Christian missionary’s sermon to the people in a remote Indian village. When he had finished speaking, a woman came up to him, her face alight with joy, and said, “I have known about Jesus all my life, and now you have told me his name.” Discussion: How can we best communicate with people who do not know Jesus? Activity: Ask someone a question and listen to the answer with your ears and your heart. ______________________________________________________________________________ Remember in prayer this week Michelle Freeman, Bob and Vivian Grusnick, Stu and Vivian Hansard, Shirley Gulian June Lamm, and Dick and Mildred Parker.
