 Romans 5:1-11

Thoughts:            We haven’t completely forgiven the person who hurt our feelings, but the love of God is shed abroad in our heart.

We haven’t read the Bible daily, but we are justified by faith.

We missed church twice last month, but while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Discussion:          What do we understand from the promise in verse 9, that we shall be saved from wrath?

Activity:               Share your joy in God with your church family.

Remember in prayer this week Bob Grusnick at Heartland, Chris Gullion, Vivian Hansard, and Claude Leach.

Joys from Sunday, March 12:

Linda Scheuerman – Associates degree of General Studies after this semester.
Doug Goudie – The wonderful food preparation and service at the Youth Auction last Sunday.
Joy and Concern:
Debbie Hagelstein – Prayers for my niece Dena and Great-Niece Kayla as they recover from a car accident that could have been very serious. They are bruised and shaken but ok.

Concerns:
Lori Ann Rumel – For a friend who lost her husband.
Bill & Sue Wesp – Prayers for Bill’s sister Alice as she deals with the death of her son from lung cancer.
Carole Bauer – Prayers for my friend Ann’s son Adam who will undergo brain surgery on Friday.
Jane Berquist – Prayers, please, for George who is having health concerns.  He is not here today but Sunday School class will still meet with thanks to Sue Olesen.
Outreach – for having enough support for Hope.  We need volunteers for Tuesday evening.

Your help is still needed Tuesday through Thursday nights at Hope Warming Center.  Call Linda Wright to volunteer or show up at 6:15pm to carpool.  Many hands make light work while serving the homeless.

The Youth Lock-in is Saturday night beginning at 7:00pm.

This Sunday Kirsten McIlvenna will be briefly introducing Grace Children’s Hospital in Haiti and hosting a special Sunday School presentation and discussion about Grace Children’s Hospital in the sanctuary.  All adult Sunday School classes will be attending this informative presentation.  Please join us.

Next Monday our Baldwin servers will be meeting at 9:30am at the church to carpool.  Have you ever served in this way before?

Monday, March 20th, is also the April Tidings deadline.  Please submit to jessieTFUMC@gmail.com with a copy to troyfirstumc@gmail.com.
