Thoughts:            “So, have you read the scripture for Sunday?”
                             “What scripture?”
“Don’t you get the Word @ Home?”
                             “What Word @Home?”
“Do you read all your Email?”
“But don’t you read stuff from the church?”
“Here’s something from the church.  Where’s John?”
                             “Wasn’t he a disciple?”
“Probably.  Sounds like a good name for a disciple.”
“Here’s John with a – whaddya call it? – a Roman numeral after it.”
“That’s not it.  Just plain John.”
“Found it.  It’s about some guy who’s blind.”
                             “That’s tough.”
“But Jesus healed him!  Gave him back his sight!”

Discussion:          “Open my eyes, that I may see glimpses of truth Thou hast for me.”
What glimpses of truth might we see during Lent?

Activity:               Try to give a glimpse of God’s love every day to someone who hurts, through smiles, phone calls, compliments, notes.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________rRemember in prayer this week George Berquist, Bob Grusnick, Chris Gullion, and Vivian Hansard .

This Thursday at Connections at 7:00pm, Lynne Berquist Meek will lead us in fellowship on the topic of Brightmoor, past and present.  Join in to hear all about Brightmoor and its needs.

This Sunday the Health Pros will be giving free blood pressure checks.  You may sign up for Easter flowers and also to donate blood on March 30th.  Better start eating your spinach.

Concerns and Joys from Sunday, March 19:

Larry & Jo Hornbeck – Prayers for the family of Chuck Burkhardt, a dancing friend of ours, who died suddenly this past week.  Prayers for cousin, Dane Sutton, who was hospitalized this morning with a blood clot in a lung.

Lynne Meek – George Berquist is still home with health concerns and waiting for test results.

Terry Watson – Monday is Jimmy’s birthday.  Paryers for my friend, Sheila, who is in Beaumont hospital on a ventilator to help her breathe.

Wanda Payne – Thank you for all the prayers and cards.  I love them.

Outreach – Troy 1st completed 4 days of Hope feeding an average of 60-65 people each night.  It was a great success.  Thanks to all!

Robin Ostergaard – Bins are available in Mercer Hall for your donations to Brightmoor/Redford. Contributions will be accepted until Easter.
