Thoughts: “So, have you read the scripture for Sunday?”
“What scripture?” “Don’t you get the Word @ Home?” “What Word @Home?” “Do you read all your Email?” “But don’t you read stuff from the church?” “Here’s something from the church. Where’s John?” “Wasn’t he a disciple?” “Probably. Sounds like a good name for a disciple.” “Here’s John with a – whaddya call it? – a Roman numeral after it.” “That’s not it. Just plain John.” “Found it. It’s about some guy who’s blind.” “That’s tough.” “But Jesus healed him! Gave him back his sight!” Discussion: “Open my eyes, that I may see glimpses of truth Thou hast for me.” What glimpses of truth might we see during Lent? Activity: Try to give a glimpse of God’s love every day to someone who hurts, through smiles, phone calls, compliments, notes. _____________________________________________________________________________________________rRemember in prayer this week George Berquist, Bob Grusnick, Chris Gullion, and Vivian Hansard .
